About Veronica
Raised in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA, I was exposed at a young age to spiritualism, meditation, breathwork, and yoga, which additionally had deep roots in this beach community of Encinitas. These elements were also strongly present during my life stages as a teenager, college student attending the University of San Diego, and then magnified during adulthood when I experienced a dark chapter in my life consisting of trauma, turmoil, and unease.
Yoga paired with sound healing and daily meditation provided me the ability to overcome this dark chapter and develop inner peace, embrace self-love and worth, and expand my spiritual life through the four corners of my mat. Due to the life-changing experiences and lessons I had learned, I felt it was only right for me to share these Eastern teachings with others by becoming a teacher.
It is my intent to honor these ancient teachings so that others too can experience life with mindfulness, awareness, sacredness, and compassion for themselves and others if they consciously choose to. Additionally, create a fun and supportive environment for my students, adults and children, where they can discover their potential on multiple levels.
I hold the highest teacher credential recognized by Yoga Alliance as an Experienced 500-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500), and additionally, all specialty credentials as a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT) and Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT), and Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) in teaching qualified courses to yoga teachers.
I am also highly trained in sound healing and energetic modalities, and have completed trainings in trauma-sensitive yoga and trauma-informed care. My yoga training and education in sound healing modalities additionally includes instruction by a Tibetan Buddhist raised in the Himalayas regarding the traditional techniques of Tibetan singing bowls. Despite my credentials and over a decade of teaching, I always approach my classes and trainings with a humble student mindset.
With great appreciation and respect for divine timing, I feel blessed for the many experiences I continue to receive that cultivate life-changing connections with others through yoga, sound healing, and meditation. In addition to my classes and private sessions, these experiences have included teaching internationally, establishing the sound healing program and nature hike yoga offerings at Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa (a Forbes 5-star and AAA Five-Diamond luxury resort in Rancho Santa Fe, CA), helping pioneer the expansion of a prenatal yoga program for Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns (a nationally and locally recognized hospital in San Diego County, CA), operating my own children’s yoga program in San Diego County, leading workshops and retreats, and providing media expertise.
In addition to my credentials, my formal education includes graduating from the University of San Diego (USD) with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and minor in business administration. I additionally received my certification as a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) teacher from USD given my native fluency in Spanish. Prior to intentionally committing more to my passion of teaching, I held corporate leadership roles in marketing and communications for over 15 years in helping advance global strategic fundraising and sales initiatives in the millions.
